WANTED: New pictures released of escaped inmate last seen at Greenville County Walmart

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

Authorities have released new pictures of an escaped inmate from Tennessee who they say was last spotted at a Greenville, South Carolina, Walmart.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division sent out an alert Sunday about 43-year-old Billy Reed Fletcher.

The alert said Fletcher escaped from the Carter County Detention Center in Tennessee on June 20.

Fletcher was spotted on June 24 leaving the Walmart on Whitehorse Road in Greenville County, authorities said.

SLED described Fletcher as 6 feet, 2 inches tall and about 230 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office said Fletcher walked off from work detail at the Carter County Jail. The agency said Fletcher was being housed for a violation of probation.

There were no details provided on what he was on probation for.
