LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' Episode 6 premiered on Disney+ on July 2, 2024. The much-anticipated episode took us deeper into Qimir's (Manny Jacinto) past whom we now know as The Stranger after the stunning revelation in the previous episode where he killed multiple Jedi with his lightsaber and called himself a Sith.

Qimir saved Osha (Amandla Stenberg) after she was hurt by her twin sister. Qimir who was earlier training Mae was disappointed by her lack of commitment to the cause. He finds Osha to be more suitable as the pupil he is desperately seeking.

Osha resents Qimir for killing Jedi masters and tries to kill him initially before they strike an uncomfortable equation where he talks to her about his past and origins as a Jedi.

What did Qimir reveal about his past in 'The Acolyte' Episode 6?

Qimir tells Osha that he was once a Jedi who was thrown out for not having control over his emotions. He talks about Osha being the ideal pupil because she has emotions like anger and desire. According to the Jedi, these emotions lead to the dark side.

Qimir talks about wanting balance in the Jedi Order-dominated world and wants Osha to be his pupil to help him achieve his balance. He lives on an unknown planet and seeks freedom from the Jedi Order.

He knows about Osha's past and is in some way connected to Osha and Mae's past. His back has a scar that has come from a whip-like lightsaber. The scar. He tells Osha that he was stabbed in the back by a Jedi Master who did not approve of his ways.

The episode also hinted at Master Vernestra (Rebbeca Henderson) being the Jedi Master who stabbed Qimir as she has a whip-like lightsaber which she uses to cut an umber moth.

Qimir to take revenge on the Jedi Masters

With Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) and Master Vernestra still alive, Qimir is looking to take revenge on them and the Jedi. He wants Master Sol to be dead anyway because Sol knows about his true identity and he vows to kill anyone who knows he is a Sith.

If Master Vernestra is indeed the one who wronged Qimir, he will be coming for her, and as we saw Vernestra is already aware of his presence so the coming episodes might see them going to war.

As Vernestra put it, his aim is to tip the scales and Qimir also talked about bringing a balance. So this could be the beginning of the dark side origin story that the 'Star Wars' universe has been asking for.
