MARSHALL COUNTY — Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 1 are investigating a murder in the Possum Trot area of Marshall County.

KSP said Post 1 received a call from the U.S. Forestry Service about an abandoned vehicle found in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27. Troopers were asked to perform a welfare check of the person known to drive the vehicle, identified as 44-year-old Jesse Moore of Benton, Kentucky.
