Kanhangad (Kasaragod): An incident has come to light in North Kottachery, where a decomposing body of a 42 year old woman was discovered in her quarters. According to the police, the woman found dead is Fatimath Suhara (42) of Kanhangad. Her live-in partner, Hasainar (30), who had been living with her for three months, was found dead by hanging in a lodge near Kasargod bus stand the other day.

The police suspect that Hasainar may have killed Suhara before taking his own life. The incident unfolded after Suhara's friends discovered her body when she failed to respond to their calls .

According to reports, Suhara and Hasinaar were last seen together at the Kanhangad Quarters on Sunday. The discovery was made on Tuesday when a friend, worried about Suhara not picking up her call, found the door locked and noticed a foul odour coming from inside. The police arrived and upon breaking in the door, they found Suhara's body with signs of strangulation.

Authorities, led by Hosdurg Inspector MP Azad, conducted initial investigations and later transferred Suhara's body to Kannur Government Medical College Hospital for further examination.

Hasainar was later found dead in a lodge room, having apparently hanged himself. The key to Suhara's quarters was found in his possession, raising suspicions about his involvement in her death. Hasainar had moved in with Suhara three months ago after she separated from her husband and children.
