Set in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, this crime thriller features a talented ensemble cast including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, veteran actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Vijay Varma, and Divyendu Sharma, among others. According to a Times of India report, Pankaj Tripathi, well-known for his performances in OTT dramas like Sacred Games and Criminal Justice, earned around Rs 10 crore for his role of Kaleen bhaiya in the second season of Mirzapur. The report also suggests that the National Award-winning actor has charged more for Mirzapur Season 3.

The second-highest earning actor in Mirzapur is Ali Fazal, who received a pay cheque of Rs 12 lakh for each episode, according to DNA. The same report also states that Shweta Tripathi, who plays the role of Golu in Amazon Prime Video's much-appreciated crime thriller, charged around Rs 2.20 lakh for each episode of the new season. Meanwhile, Rasika Dugal received Rs 2 lakh for her role of Beena Tripathi, Kaleen bhaiya's wife, in Mirzapur Season 3.

During the promotions of Mirzapur Season 3, Ali Fazal confirmed that Jitendra Kumar will have a cameo appearance in Mirzapur, reprising his role as Sachivji from Panchayat. Talking about Kumar's appearance in the new season of Mirzapur, Fazal told ANI, "That's cross-promotion. We have done that." According to Times of India and India.com reports, Kumar received a fee ranging between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh for his cameo in the crime thriller.

Mirzapur Season 3 is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kassim Jagmagia. Premiered in 2018, the crime thriller has a rating of 8.5 on IMDb.
