Executives of the seventh administration sworn in

South Africa’s new national executive was sworn in by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo on Wednesday morning in a formal ceremony in Cape Town.

President Cyril Ramaphosa officiated the ceremony underscoring the importance of the new cabinet.

Ramaphosa announced the appointment of Paul Mashatile as the Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa

Zondo administered the oath of office to Mashatile, who pledged to serve the nation faithfully by the constitution.

Mashatile accepted the position and took an oath to serve South Africa faithfully by the constitution.

“In terms of the power vested in me by section 91(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, I have decided to appoint the following persons as ministers for the portfolios allocated to them,” Ramaphosa stated.

The president then proceeded to name the ministers and deputy ministers, all of whom were sworn into office by Zondo. They each took an oath to uphold their duties faithfully.
