Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is billed to return to Naples where he will join his Napoli teammates for preseason activities.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, but so far, no concrete deal has been reached.

English Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are said to be interested in the former Lille of France striker.

The newly appointed Napoli coach, Antonio Conte, has earlier hinted that Osimhen is not in his plans for the coming campaign.

Conte is willing to meet the striker in Castel Volturno ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Suitors have found Napoli's initial €130 million price tag on Osimhen too high, which could be the stumbling block preventing his move.

The Italian club went on to lower the amount to €100mil, and Manchester United were said to have prepared a cash-plus-player swap for the deal, Punch reports.

United proposed that Denmark striker, Rasmus Hojlund, leads the other way, but so far, nothing has been finalised.

After the price slash, Arsenal are also said to be preparing a second approach for the striker in their bid to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.

It was gathered that the Gunners prefer Viktor Gyokeres to Osimhen, even if they consider the Sporting striker’s €100mil clause too high.

Despite their initial interest, Chelsea seem to be looking elsewhere after the appointment of Italian, Enzo Maresca, as the new manager.

Aside from interest in England, Osimhen is also being linked with Paris Saint-Germain as the French club continue their search for Kylian Mbappe's replacement.
