Pune: Fire Breaks Out At SP College Boys Hostel Due To Short Circuit

Pune Fire News: A fire broke out due to short circuit at Sir Parashurambhau College's boys hostel in Pune on Sunday. The short circuit took place in an electrical metre installed on the outer wall of the hostel.

However, no one was injured in the incident. The fire was reported at 6:44 AM in the boys’ hostel area.

The fire department's control room received a call regarding the incident and promptly dispatched a team to the scene. The college personnel responded quickly, deploying fire extinguishers to try to suppress the fire while simultaneously notifying the fire department and the power department.

The firefighters arrived quickly and fully extinguished the fire. A firefighter confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident.

"Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident," he said.

Personnel from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited's Parvati Division also came on time, assessed the scene, and commenced follow-up procedures.

The firefighting squad secured everyone's safety and averted more harm. The college is run by a private educational society.

In another incident, a fire broke out on June 5 at the Logix Mall in Noida, generating concern among customers and personnel alike. The altercation apparently began in a clothes showroom on the mall grounds.

When the fire department received the alarm, it immediately deployed crews to the scene. As a precaution, the whole mall was evacuated to guarantee the safety of all those there.
