John F. Caterbone, Sr.

John F. Caterbone, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully in Venice, Florida on June 30, 2024 with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born in Lancaster County and raised by the late Josephine Lombardo, his half-sister. He graduated from Catholic High School in 1959.

John was predeceased by his son John Caterbone, Jr. and his father Joseph Caterbone. John is survived by the love of his life, Karon Sampson, his brother Joseph Caterbone, his two devoted daughters Amy Caterbone and Julie Meyer, son-in-law Johnny Meyer, five cherished grandchildren, and four adored great-grandchildren.

John was a man of varied interests, tennis, fishing, hunting, and classic cars. He loved the outdoors and nature, which molded his character and motivated his endeavors. Renowned for his remarkable career as CEO of Conestoga Copiers Inc., he was celebrated as a genuine mentor who inspired and guided others to unlock their full potential.

John's kindness, wisdom, and indomitable spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy of love and dedication live on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, John F. Caterbone, Sr.

There will be a memorial service and celebration of life scheduled for late summer. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation to a nature conservation charity of your choice.
