Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Recognizes Partner Organizations for EMBODI Program Success

Members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Bennettsville-Cheraw Alumnae Chapter recently honored their partner organizations and businesses for their valuable contributions to the EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program during the May Week Program at Grace Temple Fellowship Church. Mentoring Excellence Recognized Awards and plaques were presented to Theta Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Men of Grace Temple Fellowship Church, Lambda Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Campbell Consulting Agency, and Cicero Holdings, LLC for their outstanding commitment to mentoring male youth in grades 1st – 12th with ongoing support and guidance. Collaborative Success The collaborative partners meet monthly to provide tutoring, mentorship, and essential life skills guidance. They go above and beyond by offering transportation to social events and financial assistance when necessary, ensuring the success of the program. Empowering Young Entrepreneurs The program offers a range of activities and educational opportunities, including Bullying Prevention, Financial Literacy, Etiquette sessions, vocational education, and entrepreneurial activities. Celebrating Success Darryl Campbell, Mentor of the Year 2024, and Brandon Blair were specifically recognized for their exceptional support and guidance. Campbell, from Columbia, S.C., provides financial backing to the entrepreneurship program, while Blair, from Raleigh, N.C., uses his expertise to assist participants. Continued Impact With over three decades of service to the Marlboro and Cheraw communities, the EMBODI program continues to inspire young males to achieve their goals and excel in academics.
