A lovely throwback photo of Afrobeats singer Davido and Wizkid's late mother, Jane Dolapo, has surfaced on social media.
The photo was taken in August 2022.
The photo came to light after Grammy Award winner Wizkid celebrated his late mother's first posthumous birthday on his X account. During the celebration, Wizkid expressed how much he loved and missed his mother, highlighting her instrumental role in his career.
As people celebrated Jane Dolapo, an old photo of her with Davido emerged. The 2022 photo captured the moment when the singer met Wizkid's mother at the airport. A user on X shared the photo, which Davido then retweeted.
Davido shared that he had helped Wizkid's mother with her bags when he saw her. He went on to explain that the way he carried the bags at the airport made it evident to everyone that Wizkid’s mother must be a ‘first-class citizen’.
Describing her as an amazing woman, Davido also offered a prayer for God's blessings upon her.
He wrote: “Such an amazing Woman … God bless you ma …. D way I was carrying mommy’s bags today at the airport.. dem know say nah First class citizen.”
