The spokesperson for the John Dramani Mahama campaign team, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has questioned the government’s arrogance and inability to take responsibility.

To her, the claim of bringing back the economy to life is very insulting to the intelligence of the people of Ghana considering the hardship being faced by the average Ghanaian.

Joyce Bawa Mogtari who made this known in a post shared via social media insisted that “We must take back our country, salvage what little we have left, and be sure to practice our democracy as the Constitution intended”.

She reminded the people of Ghana that “We have a duty to our country not to allow the sacrifice, toils and blood shed by our forebears to give us a proud Ghana, go waste”.

How did we get here?

We have become so skewed and so jaundiced that a failed government can literally capture all our assets, money, our freedom and our state institutions, and still have the audacity to call us out for daring to criticize their abysmal performance and corruption. For me, the most absurd thing is their arrogance and inability to take responsibility.

Bring back what economy when fuel prices are skyrocketing?

Bring back what economy when we have the highest inflation rates?

Bring back what economy when barefaced corruption has totally engulfed our government?

Bring back what economy when Ghanaians are wallowing in poverty and burdened with untold hardship?

Bring back what economy when government has wastefully expended USD58 Million on a non-existent National Cathedral, whilst the rest of us wallow in poverty and hardship?

We have a duty to our country not to allow the sacrifice, toils and blood shed by our forebears to give us a proud Ghana, go waste.

We must take back our country, salvage what little we have left, and be sure to practice our democracy as the Constitution intended.

As we reflect on our journey as a country, July 1, has to mean something, we must come together to save our motherland.

Acta Non Verba!
