In a delightful celebration of community beautification, Larry and Constance Benke's yard at 1508 7th Ave. SW has been crowned as the prestigious Yard of the Week for the fourth time in 2024 by the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce City Beautification Committee. The couple will be receiving a well-deserved gift certificate from sponsor Flower Power for their outstanding efforts.
Recognition and Rewards
Cavendish Farms, the proud sponsor of this year's Yard of the Week program, is not only honoring the Benkes but also awarding all recipients with a generous $100 gift to a local flower nursery, a certificate of recognition, a complimentary bag of fries, and an exclusive tour of the Cavendish facilities in Jamestown. This program, which will run until Aug. 30, aims to acknowledge and appreciate residents who contribute to the beauty of the community through their creative landscaping and gardening skills.
How to Participate
Each week, single-family residences with exceptional yards are selected from the numerous nominations received. The nominated yards must be easily visible from the street to qualify for consideration. If you know of a yard that deserves to be recognized, you can nominate it by calling the chamber at 252-4830 or by filling out a nomination form on the official Jamestown Chamber of Commerce website at www.jamestownchamber.com. Nomination forms can also be submitted via email to director@jamestownchamber.com.
