Military Appreciation Night @ Riverwalk Parks — Present ID for one free drink!
4 p.m.: Indee Beach Wrestling Tournament
4 — 8 p.m.: Kid’s Fun Zone (Inflatables)
4 — 8 p.m.: Jumbo Trike Rides
4:30-7 p.m.: Pork Producers & Pipestone Food Drive — 2 non-perishables/1 free pork burger
4 — 5:20 p.m.: PlugNickel (Variety)
5 — Poker Walk for Alzheimer’s — Rotary Shelter @ Teacher’s Park ($5 donation)
6 — 7:50 — Grand Marshall (Classic Rock/Pop)
8:15 — Salute to Military
8:30 — 10:30 p.m.: The Spazmatics (New Age 80’s)
Thursday, July 4
9 a.m.: 163rd Annual Independence Day Parade “Heroes Among Us” (traditional route of First Street East to Second Street NE to the Fairgrounds)
10:45 a.m.: Festivities begin in Riverwalk Parks
11 a.m.: Reading of the Declaration of Independence by the Friends of the Independence Public Library
11 a.m. — 5 p.m.: Jumbo Trike Rides
11 a.m. — 8 p.m.: Kid’s Fun Zone (Inflatables)
11:10 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.: Independence Community Band
12 — 12:45 p.m.: Eric Michaels Magic Show @ Kid Zone Stage
1 – 1:30 p.m. – Northeast Iowa Dance Academy @ Kid Zone Stage
4 — 5:20 p.m.: Big Fun 70’s (Funk/Soul/Jazz from the 60’s & 70’s)
5 — 5:45 p.m.: Eric Michaels Magic Show @ Kid Zone Stage
6 — 7:50 p.m.: 42 Romeo — Iowa National Guard Rock Band
8:30 — 10 p.m.: Fool House — The Ultimate 90’s Dance Party
10 — 10:30 p.m.: Fireworks over the Wapsipinicon River
This event is free to the public of all ages. No outside food/beverage, sparklers/fireworks, or solicitation. Service animals welcomed.
