Top 10 European clubs with most stoppage time goals this season
Liverpool have scored 17 goals after the 90th minute in games this season and it’s rescued them some important points. Klopp’s men are firmly in the title race with Arsenal and Man City with their never say die attitude a key component behind outperforming their expectations at the start of the season. Liverpool have also scored more injury time goals than any other Premier League club since the start of the 2019/20 season.
Bayer Leverkusen have displayed incredible resilience on their current 44-game unbeaten run and they’ve regularly scored late goals. Xabi Alonso’s men broke the record for the longest unbeaten run since 2000 against West Ham United last week and they’ve become synonymous with scoring late goals. Josip Stanišić equalised in the seventh minute of stoppage time against Borussia Dortmund to preserve Bayer’s unbeaten run. Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray rank joint third with 14 goals after the 90th minute this season, while Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid all feature in the top ten.
