The Federal Government has advocates for more support for the education sector from wealthy individuals, noting that the government alone cannot fund the sector.
Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, made the assertion at a Post- Convocation/Reception organized in honor Sir. Emeka Offor and his wife, Dr. Adaora Vivian Offor in Abuja.
Mamman, while commenting on the contributions to the Safe School Initiative, emphasized the importance of securing schools against attacks and violence, urging individuals and agencies to support these efforts.
In his remarks, Sir Emeka Offor, urged wealthy individuals to support the government, especially given the current economic challenges in the country, and stressed the importance of using funds judiciously to extend education to the less privileged.
