The Nollywood entertainment industry is once again plunged into mourning following the alleged passing of legendary actor Olu Jacobs at the age of 81. According to reports, the actor, who was set to celebrate his birthday in a few weeks, had been battling Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) for an extended period.

News of his passing was broken by movie producer Stanley Ontop on his official Instagram page, where he shared photos of the late actor with a heartfelt caption: “Veteran Actor Sir Olu Jacobs passes On after long battling illness. Rest with the lord sir. Be with the lord. Shalom.”

This loss comes shortly after Nollywood mourned the passing of veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu, who succumbed to leg cancer a few weeks ago.
