Aseyori Progressive Forum Condoles with Ido-Osun Traditional Council, Indigenes over Oba Adedapo’s Demise

A group, Aseyori Progressive Forum has commiserated with the Ido Osun Traditional Council, indigenes and residents of Ido Osun on the demise of the Alayemore of Ido-Osun, Oba Adeen Aderemi Adedapo.

In a statement by its convener, Hon. Fajobi Olusanjo Fajoe, the forum condoled with the family, royal families in Ido Osun and other stakeholders on the transition of Oba Adedapo, whom it described as a pragmatic trailblazer who was passionate about the development of the ancient town till he breathed last.

Olusanjo noted that the late monarch was a great influence to the growth of the town, a virtue that endeared him to his subjects as an unrepentant protector of the rich Yoruba culture and tradition, as a well as a society where life is abundant.

He however advocated for the immortalisation of the late Alayemore whose legacies in promoting the cause of humanity transcends the shores of Ido Osun to the world.

His words: “Oba Adedapo was a king to all. He loved Ido Osun and its people to the core. He ruled with the fear of God and sincerity of purpose. His rich knowledge about Yoruba culture and history is remarkably noteworthy and culminated in his contributions to the society. His visionary style made him a global citizen.

“All of us in the Aseyori Progressive Forum (APF) are proud of what he was able to do. He protected the Yoruba culture and promoted it beyond borders. We are indeed happy that he was able to touch lives and impact his community.

“As his final burial ceremony holds this weekend, we condole with his family, the extended royal families, the Ido-Osun traditional council, market men and women associations, artisans, government officials, among others, on the loss and we pray for the repose of his soul in the hereafter.

“Baba will be sorely missed by all, especially, those of us he brought closer to him to drink from his wealth of experience and exposure. May Allah accept his return,” he stated.
