Man killed in East Salinas shooting identified by police

A man who was shot and killed in east Salinas Wednesday night has been identified. Police identified the victim as Michael Frank Filomeno Cruz, 33. Cruz was shot and killed in front of a home on North Pearl Street, around 11 p.m.Evidence gathered during the investigation led to the SWAT team serving a search warrant the following morning at a home on North Pearl Street.During those searches, two juveniles were arrested in connection with the murder, said Salinas interim chief John Murray. They were both charged with murder, robbery and gang charges and taken to juvenile hall.Murray says that they are still searching for a third culprit believed to have some involvement with the homicide.

A man who was shot and killed in east Salinas Wednesday night has been identified.
