A WOMAN has revealed that her husband is often mistaken for her son, because of how tiny he is.
Cassandra is 5 ft 10, way above the UK average height for women, which is 5ft 4.
Her husband Wes is 5 ft 5, meaning that Cassandra towers over him, especially when she is wearing heels, which make her 8 inches taller than her man.
The couple, from New York, met on a dating website in 2017, and instantly connected over their shared love of fashion.
Speaking to Love Don't Judge, Wes said: "I didn't necessarily have an issue with dating someone taller than me."
"I knew that as long as I was attracted to the person, that's all that really matters."
However, Cassandra said that at first, she wasn't keen on dating someone shorter than her as she was worried about the stigma surrounding it.
But as their relationship progressed, Cassandra realised that height wasn't important as she felt a deep connection with Wes.
Wes said that online trolls have claimed that he is not able to "protect" his wife, and say Cassandra is "not feminine" because of her height.
He added that many people think he must have Small Man Syndrome, which is where a man feels inadequate because of his height, and so becomes angry and aggressive.
The couple began posting fashion content together on social media, but ended up going viral due to their height difference.
Sharing some of the comments they have received, from online trolls, the couple said that Wes has been likened to an alien, and that people have joked they're in a long-distance relationship due to their height difference.
"It's just weird to me that people would say that", said Wes.
The worst comment they have ever received was when somebody said that Cassandra was Wes' mother.
Wes said that he found this distasteful, however, Cassandra said that she does not care about the hate comments.

Cassandra said that their friends and family at first made jokes about their relationship, but have since become very supportive.
Wes said: "I understand that we are in a height gap relationship and that that is not something you see every day, but keep your judgements to yourselves."
Cassandra added: "Stop believing what society has in place for us and what is deemed normal".
