Emmanuel Abbey and Ebenezer Anyetei of Ghana’s Under-19 beach volleyball team clinched silver medals at the recent Beach Volleyball Continental Cup Tournament held in Abidjan from June 23 to 27, 2024.

Despite their strong performance, which saw them narrowly miss out on gold to Sierra Leone in the final, their achievement has secured Ghana a coveted spot in the Under-19 World Championship to be held in China.

The dynamic duo, aiming for the top prize, displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament, earning praise from fans and officials alike. Their journey to the world stage in China marks a significant milestone for Ghanaian beach volleyball, underscoring their potential on an international level.

Mr. Mohammed Aputeog, founder of the Super Volleyball Championship, congratulated Abbey and Anyetei on their outstanding performance. He emphasized the importance of national support and encouragement for the athletes as they prepare to represent Ghana globally.
