Ahead of the upcoming Delta State Local Government Elections, slated for July 13th, 2024, Chief Best Umukoro, a Senior Aide to the Delta State Governor has lauded the remarkable strides achieved by the PDP under Governor Oborevwori’s ongoing MORE Agenda. The agenda he said has ushered in an era of unprecedented human and capital development and more.

Umukoro further stated that the credible performance of Governor Oborevwori has made the campaign a walkover for the PDP in Okpe LGA.

In a passionate appeal during the Okpe PDP campaign tour from ward to ward within the Okpe LGA, he urged the people to turn out in large numbers to support Esiovwa / Otikiri the PDP Chairmanship candidate and all the Counselorship Candidates.

The campaign tour, led by Hon. Dr. Joseph Otirhue, Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council, in Okpe LGA, witnessed significant support and enthusiasm from the cheerful crowd as the campaign train moved from one ward to the other.

Prominent figures including Chief Prof Sam Oyovbaire , Chairman Delta State Elders Advisory Council/ Peace Building Committee , Chief Hon. Prince Godwin Ejiyere, DG of Warri, Uvwie, and Environs Development Agency; Okpe LGA PDP Party Chair, Chief Hon. Efe Uko, Hon. Chief James Augoye, Delta State House of Assembly Member representing Okpe Constituency, Chief Daniel lvwighre, DG, Sustainable Development Goals , Mrs. Rose Ezewu, Commissioner for Secondary Education, who were on ground added colour and candor to the Campaign team.

Others are Chief lsaac ltebu,Chief Robert Onome,Hon Ramson lkweki, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Chief Mathias ltigha, Chief Jagboro Bernard, Chief Shydoph Ememo, Maria Ememo, Fred Oborevwori,Chief Napoleon Gbinije, Arch Bishop Dieruenaba, Wilson Okiki , Chief Francis lghoraye, Mr. Collins Ubini, Francis Odogun amongst others were on ground to campaign for the success of the PDP Candidates in the forthcoming local government elections.

During the campaign, the Chairmanship and the Counselorship Candidates received flags from the the Party Chairman,symbolizing the party’s endorsement of their candidacy and commitment towards securing victory across Okpe LGA.

Chief Best Umukoro the PDP Chieftain from Okpe LGA also added that the positive impact of the ongoing MORE Agenda truly highlights the progress of the current administration’s policies, which aims to bring more development, opportunities, and abundant dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State. The call to vote for Esiovwa/Otikiri and all the PDP Councillorship candidates underscores the party’s unity and commitment to sustaining the progress made by the PDP in Okpe LGA and beyond.
