How Chelsea can line-up with four new summer signings under Maresca - shown in pic

Chelsea have had an impressive start to the 2024 summer transfer window and have already signed five players!

The transfer spree was kicked off by the free transfer of defender Tosin Adarabioyo. This was followed up by the signing of Brazilian young sensation Estevao Willian (Messinho)

Chelsea have been really active since the end of June. They have signed Marc Guiu from Barcelona, Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa and Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Out of all these, Maresca will be able to use four players from the pre-season campaign itself. Willian can only join the Blues next year once he turns 18.

Maresca might opt to give these new signings a go in the upcoming pre-season games. He could easily play all four together in a match or so to see how potent they can be under him.

Dewsbury-Hall and Adarabioyo are going to be important part of the squad next season. Tosin will probably take up a centre-back slot, while Dewsbury-Hall operate alongside Moises Caicedo in midfield.

Kellyman excels as an attacking midfielder. But he can also operate in the wide areas if necessary. Guiu’s natural position is as a centre-forward.

Here’s how Chelsea can potentially line-up with all these four signings in pre-season or in some 2024/25 games.

Chelsea potential XI with four early summer signings: Sanchez, James, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella, Caicedo, Dewsbury-Hall, Kellyman, Palmer, Nkunku, Guiu
