The Nigerian Bar Association ( NBA) Anaocha also known as Family bar on Saturday, 29th day of June, 2024 held a ceremony to swear in the new Executives and bid farewell to the outgoing team.
The outgoing chairman,Ugochukwu Okoli, Esq handed the reins to the newly elected Chairman, J.C.Oraekeh,Esq. In his acceptance and inaugural speech, Oraekeh thanked the members for their trust and pledged to run a pro active and participatory leadership devoid of any discriminatory tendencies.
The ceremony was witnessed by legal luminaries including Chief Lawrence Obi Anizoba, His Hon.Kingsley Onwuka and Mrs Rose Ebere Okonkwo who represented other eminent members of the branch who are to wit: Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, Chief Alex Ejesieme, SAN, Chief Mrs Mary Obegolu, Esq, Chief Jide Okongwu, Esq, Chief Chris Adimora, Esq, Hon. Chinyere Ossy Nwankwo, Esq, Hon. Anthonia Tabansi, Esq among others, welcomed the new Executives and charged them to learn from the mistakes of the past leadership while building a stronger and participatory family bar branch with enviable achievements.
Speaking to our correspondent at Chief Charles E.N Obegolu bar center Obeledu in Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra state,the newly sworn in Publicity Secretary,Kevin Chizoba Nicholas Ezeoke, Esq said that the epoch making mandate marked a smooth transition and a new chapter for the family bar, Anaocha branch,with the new Executives set and resolute to re-position and launch the branch to greater heights.
Ezeoke, quoting and reiterating the newly chairman’s acceptance speech said that “the new administration will run an all member inclusive administration that will prioritize and engender members welfare interest,trust, confidence, fraternity without losing sight of the parent body’s motto to wit: ‘promoting the rule of law’ “.
