I will continue to support Ekiti NYSC – Gov Oyebanji

The Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji says he is aware of the infrastructural challenges facing the NYSC Orientation Camp in the state.

The governor said this during the swearing in of the 2024 Batch B Sstream one corps members held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ise/Orin/ Emure Ekiti.

Represented by the Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Adedayo Adesola, Governor Oyebanji  assured the management of the government’s commitment towards providing the necessary support to address the challenges confronting the camp.

In his words: “We are committed to improving infrastructure and ensuring the effective functioning of the NYSC program in our state.

He welcomed the new corps members to the State, assuring them of a safe and supportive environment in the course of serving the nation.

Governor Oyebanji who commended the hard work and determination of the corps members, reminded them of the foundational purpose of the NYSC scheme, to drive unity and development. 

He urged them to be proactive in addressing unemployment, corruption, and poverty by becoming catalysts for positive change, assuring the corps members of the state’s dedication to rewarding excellence.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu told the gathering that the high level of cooperation among the corps members has greatly contributed to the smooth administration of the camp. 

Alhaji Shuaibu also assured Ekiti State indigenes that by the end of the three weeks in camp, the corps members would be well acquainted with the social, cultural, and economic settings of the state.

The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, justice John Adeyeye, represented by Justice Olalekan  Olatawura administered the oath of allegiance on the one thousand , three hundred and sixty corps members deployed to the state.
