Queen Máxima of the Netherlands was all smiles on Thursday as she mingled with residents and cheered on children during a visit to a playground in Zevenbergschen Hoek, a village in the southern province of North Brabant.
The Dutch royal, 53, visited the village to discuss how it can overcome the challenges it's facing with regards to declining facilities and an aging community, and remain an attractive place for people to live.
Queen Máxima, who was wearing a pale pink top accessorised with a dramatic floral necklace made up of stones in complementary colours, appeared delighted to be outside in the sunshine and mixing with local people.
She paired her cap sleeve top with white wide-leg trousers and added some sparkle with diamond earrings and a glitzy bracelet.
With her hair brushed back and smoky eye make-up, the radiant monarch appeared at once glamourous and relaxed.
Having discarded her pale pink clutch bag, the mother-of-three showed her maternal side as she cheered on children taking part in outdoor activities.
For a moment, the queen looked concerned as a young girl shimmied down a pole in the playground.
During her visit to the playground, she was accompanied by Miss 2024 of the annual Summer Carnival of Zevenbergschen Hoek.
Queen Máxima also visited a residential care home for the elderly and a community centre where she met members of the local billiards club.
It's been a busy time for the Dutch royal - last week she visited Friesland, a province in the north of the Netherlands, with sustainability in mind.
She donned a vibrant outfit which included a sheer red top embroidered with floral designs and asymmetric ruffle detailing.

The Queen travelled to the province to visit Vereniging Circulair Friesland, a partnership between various companies and organisations working in the field of sustainability.
The organisation looks at how humans can reuse existing raw materials in the most effective and sustainable way.
Its goal is to make Friesland completely sustainable by next year.
