The campaign plans to launch a wave of television, radio, and internet advertisements targeting voters in battleground states. These ads will focus on issues such as abortion and economic concerns, while also portraying former President Trump as a threat to American democracy and the rule of law.
The advertisements will also capitalize on events such as the Republican National Convention, 'The Bachelorette' season premiere, and the 2024 Olympics, which attract large and diverse audiences in terms of ideology.
The campaign wrote in a release detailing the push, "This will be a close race, decided by battleground voters who require consistent time, outreach, and attention."
It added, "While Donald Trump is on the golf course, we are putting in the work to reach critical voters and frame this election as a choice between Joe Biden – a fighter for American families – and Donald Trump – a convicted criminal who is running a campaign of revenge and retribution focused only on himself."
June was celebrated by Biden's reelection campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and joint fundraising committees as their highest fundraising month to date, amassing $127 million.
According to the campaign, $38 million of that total was contributed in the days following last Thursday's first presidential debate, which sparked numerous calls for Biden to withdraw from the race.
