preview for What Your Zodiac Sign Says About You

You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: TEN OF CUPS

This week’s Full Moon in Aquarius is your window of opportunity to reboot, recalibrate, and repair any imbalanced or damaged relationships in your world (the ones that matter to you, that is; if they don’t, then now's your time to let them go). The Ten of Cups adds love and compassion to this week’s mission. Lead with love, focus on your good memories, and acknowledge what your loved ones have done for you. Lead with compassion and a desire to understand. Much can be rekindled and restored this week.

ARIES: JUSTICE

Do the right thing, no matter what's tempting you. If you step off the straight and narrow now, you will regret it in the future. So, bite the bullet, make the sacrifice, and stick to what you know is important, right, and ethically good. This will be rewarded, I promise. You will look back on this week and feel very good about how you acted and the choices you made. Do this for Future You.

TAURUS: SIX OF CUPS

Let the past back in. Something or someone is knocking at your door this week, and the potential for rekindling a lost love is high. This is something or someone you once loved deeply. Whatever the reason for the estrangement, it’s likely that things have changed, and maybe now is a good time to revisit this bond, relationship, role, place, etc. Your childhood and teen years form a core part of your personality, and they come back into your life from time to time. This is one of those times.

GEMINI: DEATH

Margie Rischiotto+Rider-Waite

Death brings transformation, growth, and renewal. Much of 2024 has been about shedding old layers, habits, or commitments that no longer serve you. Maybe it's felt sad sometimes, or maybe you’ve endured a lot of loss and wondered what's going to replace all of this! Well, this week will start with rebirth—the comeback process. You are like a phoenix rising from the ashes! All the dead wight has gone. Now you can unfurl your magnificent new wings and fly. Gemini, this is the start of your season in the sun!

CANCER: FIVE OF SWORDS

Woe betide those who hurt people you love. They really don’t know how much of a mistake that is! Well, someone is about to find out the hard way. The Five of Swords puts you on a collision course with a person who has caused tension or stress or just generally been shitty. You are going to end this, Cancer. You are going to read the room, see the root causes, and strike once—powerfully—to bring this situation to a head. Whatever the outcome, it will work out well for you because you’re defending a just cause. Act with integrity but don’t back down. They need to know they crossed a line.

LEO: THREE OF PENTACLES

Let the compliments and applause roll in, Leo! It’s one of those weeks when everyone seems to have a good word to say about you or party to invite you to. You’re in demand! You love this kind of energy, so go out and make the most of it. Say yes to everything and be visible. Also, be proud of yourself! Your charm is front and center during weeks like this, but it’s your hard work and diligence that really makes it all possible. You’re not just a pretty face; you've got imagination, strength, and courage, too. Go get what you deserve!

VIRGO: THE MAGICIAN

The Magician represents Mercury, which is your ruling planet, Virgo. That means this week will bring a surge of your Mercury-ruled powers. What does that mean? Creativity, inventiveness, intelligence, innovative thinking, and imaginative ideas are all coming to you! It’s a week for creating, pitching, making, and designing. You have an entrepreneurial flair and it's time to flex those skills!

LIBRA: NINE OF PENTACLES

You're *the* sign of balance, Libra. You like your world to be harmonious, fair, peaceful, and just. (Why won't someone put you in charge?) One of the ways you achieve balance is by thinking long-term. If you reacted to everything in the moment, then life would be full of stops and starts. When you stretch out events across months, even years, it becomes clear that not everything merits a reaction. You can let stuff fade from view. You are discerning what’s important in the long run this week, and you will choose wisely.

SCORPIO: NINE OF CUPS

You are a natural strategist, Scorpio. In fact, you thrive on making down secret plans and schemes that serve your interests. However, those schemes have to originate from somewhere, right? That place would be your imagination. Take this week to dive into your daydreams and visions, and decide which deserve manifestation. Picture your future. Let your desires create the story you could write. This material will lay down the basis of your next strategy.

SAGITTARIUS: PAGE OF SWORDS

Commitment is a tricky concept for most Sags. You love nothing more than freedom, independence, and the space to roam to your heart’s content. Commitment makes you feel trapped—yuck! Well, the Page of Swords does see you pondering the idea of committing to something this week. Maybe you're wrestling with your own reluctance, and then you finally deciding to do it. You have to display loyalty sometimes. Now’s the time.

CAPRICORN: KING OF CUPS

Capricorns are well known for their ambition, materialism, and practicality. But people might not know that you're also emotionally intelligent and wise. The King of Cups sees you supporting others emotionally this week. People come to you for advice, feedback, and help. Be smart and considered about how you respond. Guide people well. Temper your urge to be too cautious, but do point out risks. Encourage, reassure, suggest, and listen carefully. Sometimes people just want to vent to someone they trust.

AQUARIUS: TWO OF SWORDS

Decision time, Aquarius. You are usually very comfortable making big choices, but this one has you stumped. Maybe you hoped it would kind of sort itself out and a natural conclusion would unfold without your intervention. Well, this won’t happen. The Two of Swords is like a "time’s up" card, pushing you into action. Think things through, ask questions, consider the risks, discuss the options, prioritize, sleep on your choice… and then take action.

PISCES: ACE OF CUPS

A new friendship or romance will burst into your world this week, and it could consume you. Relationships are your priority. This one will be lifelong, loyal, and loving. Whether romantic or platonic, this person is a true soulmate. The meeting will be full of potential passion. You will know who this person is immediately because the chemistry will be obvious, whether it’s a friend or lover. Look for water signs—Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio—and for people who are creative, hopeful, and charismatic.
