Afro-pop artiste, Portable aka Zazzu, is in police net for what is now an alleged OBT(Obtaining By Trick) crime after allegedly refusing to pay the balance of N14 million for a Mercedes Benz (G Wagon) worth N27 million.

The car dealer reportedly petitioned the Lagos police after all attempts to make Zazzu pay the balance of N14 million after his initial deposit of N13 million failed.

Zazzu who always rants online and cuts a tough guy image was forced to flee like a cornered petty thief when the Police came for him. The video of his escape before his re arrest and being dragged into a waiting police car will make you laugh and cry. Zazzu na all mouth yet he claims to be ‘Junior Fela’. Fela never fled like a petty thief all the time the police and soldiers came for him, he boldly followed them waving to the crowd because he knew he was coming back soon, but not Zazzu who had boasted in the past that he was a ‘Baboon’ that lives in the ‘zoo’ and that is why he is called Zazzu.

It was like a scene from a Nollywood movie, the Police were filmed showing him the arrest warrant, and we saw Zazzu prancing about saying “Okay, Okay oga mi, no problem, na today I go die be dat.” He took a short walk round his men, came back to the Police team again, and he made like he wanted to issue instructions to one of his sidekicks, and fiam, he placed his right on the gate of the compound and like a very fit athlete, pivoted himself into the air and across the gate into the compound and was seen fleeing the scene.

Another video showed over four policemen dragging him like a stubborn ram into a police car. Police have confirmed they chased him down and arrested him. He is cooling his heels at Ikeja now, no doubt. Aside the OBT, he would be charged for resisting arrest, fleeing from law enforcement officers. He may likely spend some days in the same cell block with Bobrisky at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre before he gets bail. I trust Nigeria Police.
