Manchester United have been told to sell Arsenal linked Marcus Rashford this summer if they feel they can sign a batter alternative.

Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for Man United  just a few seasons ago.

He has really struggled this season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils, which is not good enough for a player of his ability.

However – there is again talk that Man United would be open to the idea of letting their academy star leave the club and there has been some stunning speculation that the likes of ARSENAL could make a move for the player.

The Sun have claimed that Manchester United are ready to lower their asking price for Marcus Rashford this summer as they look to get his £325k-a-week wages off the books.

But although Mikael Silvestre believes he is better of staying at United. “Letting Rashford go would not be the right decision because you need to go in the market and find someone better than Marcus, if that’s the case,” he told bettingexpert.com.

“If you find that player he will be very expensive. Marcus is a senior, experienced Mancunian from the academy. I think he wants to stay. The manager likes him. I just hope Marcus bounces back this season.”

In that ARSENAL side – Rashford would thrive and could be a real threat for Mikel Arteta – but we cannot see him leaving the Red Devils just yet as he has shown no desire to want to leave.

But saying that, the right offer could get a transfer deal done.
