Remo Stars manager Daniel Ogunmodede has begged former Super Eagles players to pursue coaching careers to build the NPFL.

Daniel has been an advocate of improving the NPFL following the degeneration of the quality of the league in recent years.

The manager has made a name for himself since joining Remo Stars in August 2022, leading the club to a title challenge last season.

However, despite the progress he has made at Remo Stars as a coach, he has asked for more experienced players to start a coaching career.

Daniel Ogunmodede, the coach of Remo Stars, has voiced concerns regarding the salary standard received by coaches in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Super Eagles' new boy Ismail Sodiq ended his season on a high with his first goal for Remo Stars.

Ogunmodede also known as ‘IJABALL’ has spoken about the quality of the NPFL and advised that it needs experience hands on deck.

He said in an interview with Brilla, “I will be extremely happy. Imagine we have a Finidi, an Oliseh, and an Amuneke. Our league will also be the talk of the continent.

“It’s important to have these experienced individuals contribute to our football development. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise that can significantly improve the standard of the league.

Coach Daniel thinks that if more former Super Eagles players entered the coaching profession, the league would see tremendous growth.

Ogunmodede came very close to leading Remo Stars to the league championship in the previous season, falling short by only five points.

The Remo Star manager will be hoping to start the new season on a good note and challenge for the league title once again.
