Matt Willis confused fans as he revealed his touching anniversary gift.

On Friday (July 5), the McBusted frontman celebrated his 16th wedding anniversary to his famous wife Emma Willis. The happy couple tied the knot in 2008 and have gone on to become proud parents to their children, Isabelle, Ace and Trixie.

To mark their special day, the doting dad decided to permanently show his commitment to his beloved wife. The 41-year-old revealed he had a portrait of Emma inked onto his calf.

The black and white piece depicted a dramatic image of Emma modelling a little black dress, surrounded in shadow. Her trademark tresses were swept to one side as the former model threw a sultry look.

Alongside his mammoth tattoo, Matt wrote: “Happy Anniversary @emmawillisofficial... I love you more than ever. 16 years and it keeps getting better.

“Thanks @tomftattoo for your amazing work and fitting me in just in time for today.” Matt’s caption suggests his loving gift was a spontaneous one as he showed off his new ink.

The mum-of-three looked nothing short of sensational, but many fans were left scratching their heads over the likeness of the portrait. It didn’t take long before fans flooded to the comments to share their confusion online.

One user penned: “Is that meant to be Emma? [confused emoji]” as another asked: “Who’s the lady in the tattoo?” A third echoed: “Lovely idea but it doesn’t look anything like her?”

A fourth chimed in with: “Happy anniversary, nice tattoo although it looks more like Miley Cyrus! Guessing Emma is a big fan of hers.” A fifth added: “Happy anniversary but not sure that’s a great likeness to Emma [thinking emoji].”

Meanwhile others showered the star with praise for his touching gift. One user penned: “Happy anniversary to you both @‌mattjwillis that tattoo is amazing - I was waiting to see it [four fire emojis]”.

Another agreed: “Omg this is absolutely epic, happy anniversary to you and Emma”. A third gushed: “Wow this tattoo is amazing! [fire emoji] congratulations to you both [heart emoji].”

It’s no surprise that the musician is a pro when if comes to coping with the pain of large tattoo – has countless tattoos decorating his body. But this isn’t the first tattoo the star has dedicated to his wife, he also has ‘Til death’ inked on his wedding ring finger.

It’s not just Emma that Matt pays tribute to on his body. When their third daughter, Trixie was born, Matt had a tattoo of a Twix bar added to his collection.

Their second child Ace, 12, also features in his extensive artwork after he inked a huge A about a heart tattooed on his chest. Their oldest daughter Isabelle, 14, who they call Wizz, is represented by a giant pop art style tattoo on Matt’s torso, with the word Wizz integrated among the bright red and yellow ink.
