Jamaica Olympic athletics trials schedule: Sunday, June 30 - Day 4
The curtain falls on the Jamaica Olympic trials today, with intense focus on the men’s 4x400m relay. The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) is making a final bid to qualify the team for the next month's Paris Olympics, after three unsuccessful attempts to crack the world’s top 16. The athletes must clock faster than 2:59.12 to secure their spot.
Today marks the last chance for track and field athletes to meet the stringent Olympic qualifying standards.
In the women's events, all eyes are on Shericka Jackson as she aims for a historic national sprints double for the third consecutive time. Jackson, a two-time 200m world champion who already claimed the 100m title on Friday, will seek to add the 200m crown to her accolades today, continuing her dominance since dethroning Fraser-Pryce in 2022.
