Naana Donkor Arthur, an award-winning media personality based in the US, has turned her personal experiences and profound empathy into a transformative mission in Ghana.

Inspired by her autistic son, Charlton, Naana founded NDA Charity to support the needy and vulnerable. Since its inception, the NGO has provided crucial assistance to over 100 individuals, impacting lives through the payment of medical bills, business setups, and educational support.

Charlton, who receives therapy and a good education in the USA, has been the cornerstone of Naana’s inspiration.

Witnessing the disparities between the support her son receives and the struggles faced by similar families in Ghana, Naana felt compelled to act. “Charlton has shown me the power of proper support and care,” Naana explained.

“It’s heartbreaking to see families in Ghana left to fend for themselves under similar circumstances. NDA Charity aims to bridge that gap.”

NDA Charity’s mission is to provide comprehensive aid to the less fortunate, focusing on critical areas such as healthcare, entrepreneurship, and education. The organization has garnered widespread acclaim for its impactful initiatives and unwavering commitment to improving lives.

One notable success story involves Kofi, a young boy whose school fees were paid by NDA Charity. His mother, Akosua, expressed deep gratitude, stating, “Thanks to NDA Charity, Kofi can now pursue his education without interruption. This has brought hope and stability to our family.”

NDA Charity has alleviated the financial burdens of numerous families by covering medical expenses.

Edem Kekeli Akwasi Tsimekpe, a child diagnosed with CONGENITAL DISORDER OF GLYCOSYLATION was supported with $9,000 by the NDA Charity to cover part of their medical expenses. The family is now in the USA getting medical treatment for their son Edem.

NDA Charity also empowers individuals through business setups, enabling them to achieve financial independence.

Madam Paulina, a recipient of the charity’s business support, successfully started a provision shop. Her 5 children, which included 2 sets of twins have been enrolled in school with their fees fully paid for.
Beyond financial assistance, NDA Charity offers emotional support to foster self-sufficiency and personal growth.

Naana’s journey from a mother advocating for her son to a philanthropist making a difference is a testament to the power of empathy and action.

Naana Donkor Arthur’s dedication, inspired by Charlton’s resilience, has transformed her vision into a lifeline for many. “Charlton’s journey has taught me that with love and support, we can overcome any challenge,” she said.

As NDA Charity continues to expand its reach, Naana envisions a Ghana where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive.

“Our work is far from over,” she stated with determination.

“We’ll keep pushing forward, one life at a time.” NDA Charity stands as a remarkable example of how personal experiences can fuel a broader mission of social good.
