Gaëtan Barres opened his establishment with a friend. For the first year of “his beach”, the owner is rather delighted by this change of life.

It’s a reconversion and not the least. After a career in a transport and logistics company, Gaëtan Barres decided to completely change his life. After some thought, he opted for the beach, the sea and the warm sand.

"A child’s dream"

"We reached the milestone last year. With a childhood friend we took the Mistral again."A first half-season to get their hands on it in 2023, but this year, the two friends have put their paws into opening their own beach, the Paillote Sauvage in Carnon.

Behind his counter, he admires the view and confides: "It was a childhood dream." And even if the season didn't get off to a flying start due to wind and rain problems, he remains optimistic. "It’s true the weather was a little unpredictable, but we are so good here that people still came." Between the faithful of the old Mistral and the new customers, Gaëtan is satisfied.

A decor in harmony with nature

"We have had very good feedback since the beginning, on the layout, on the map…" It must be said that the small team insisted on changing all of the furniture and decor.
