Govanhill driver 'parked dangerously' has car seized by police and faces court

A Govanhill driver faces court after having 'parked dangerously' over the weekend.

Police officers caught the motorist in the south side on Saturday (July 13) parked on zig zag lines near a pedestrian crossing.

Officers say that the vehicle was 'causing a dangerous obstruction to other road users' before they seized it. It was also found to allegedly have no insurance.

Sharing the incident on X, Police Scotland warned drivers "don't risk it".

A spokesperson wrote: "Glasgow road police spotted this car parked dangerously in Govanhill.

"The driver will now have to explain themselves to a court at a later date."
