As part of it's birthday celebration, the attraction has announced some changes to the park this year.

The theme park's The Wriggler has been updated, as well as a new Summer Sparks Spectacular event on August 31, with Gully and Gilly mouse.

There are also seven new lodges opening at the park as well.

The theme park's Resort Director Craig Clews told local media: "We are thrilled to unveil our new lodges, which are as a result of a boom in overnight bookings."

“We want to offer our guests as many exciting options as we can, and the new themed accommodation is sure to be a hit.”

He also said that they have kept ticket prices the same as they were back in 2019, to help struggling families.

He added: “During the 35 years the park has been open, we have always tried to ensure we are offering great value for money for families and, given the increased cost of living over the last year or so, we are proud to say that we have managed to keep ticket prices at Gulliver’s World the same as they were five years ago.

Some of the biggest rides include The Antelope Wooden Coaster as well as Overdrive and Flight of the Pteranodon, and their newest rollercoaster, Grand Prix Racers

Smaller rides include swinging ships, dodgems and spinning cups, and.

Water rides include the Apache Falls, Log Flume and boating schools.

Tickets to Gulliver's World cost just £15 for afternoon entry (from 2pm to 5pm) or summer day tickets for £20.

Parking is also free at the theme park.

The UK is home to a number of other Gulliver's resorts too.

Along with Gulliver's World, there are two in Milton Keynes - Gulliver's Land Resort and Gulliver's Dinosaur and Farm Park, which opened a new The Very Hungry Caterpillar attraction last year.

Gulliver's Kingdom Resort in Derbyshire is the oldest of the resorts, having opened in 1978.

And Gulliver's Valley Resort in Yorkshire is the newest, which opened in 2020, and is the largest at 250 acres.

Each resort has on-site accommodation, ranging from The Gulliver's Hotel in Cheshire to the Adventurers Village in Milton Keynes.

Use these tips on your next theme park trip

Next time you visit a theme park, you may want to use our top tips to make the most of your adrenaline-inducing day out.

  1. Go to the back of the theme park first. Rides at the front will have the longest queues as soon as it opens.
  2. Go on water rides in the middle of the day in the summer - this will cool you off when the sun is at its hottest.
  3. Download the park's app to track which rides have the shortest queues.
  4. Visit on your birthday, as some parks give out "birthday badges" that can get you freebies.
  5. If it rains, contact the park. Depending on how much it rained, you may get a free ticket to return.

There was even a Gulliver's Kingdom theme park in Japan, although has been left abandoned for years.
