According to a news report from Blueprint, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has established an excellent framework for those who will become council chairmen under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming September local government elections in Kwara, says Hon Abdulhameed Ali, a leading aspirant for the Ilorin West local government area.

Ali, affectionately known as "Mr. Nigeria," stated that his vision for the council aligns with the governor's ongoing transformation programmes, particularly the Ilorin smart city projects. Aspiring to be the chairman under the ruling APC, Ali has successfully participated in the party's screening exercise.

During the unveiling of his manifesto in Ilorin over the weekend, Ali emphasised that the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had set a solid development template for incoming local government chairmen to ensure the overall progress of various councils.

“Look at what the governor is doing in the Ilorin Smart City and the state master plan. I have a project that is going to key into the governor’s master plan programme and we are going to replicate some of his laudable programmes in our local government,” he said.

Alli, who also unveiled plans to create an international trade centre in Ilorin West, said he would ensure access to market centres for some wards and communities through the construction of modern markets.
