FUTA council chair Daadut pledges commitment for vasity’s progress

The newly inaugurated chairman Governing Council, Federal University of Technology, Akure Ondo state, Prof Ladi Nora Daduut, said the council would work with commitment to foster growth and development of the institution.

Prof Daduut made the commitment, shortly after her inauguration on Thursday by the Minster of Education Tahir Maman, in Abuja.

This was contained in a statement by her media consultant, Golok Nanmwa, in Jos.

Daduut who was the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly , also vowed to put in place a dynamic and purposeful leadership style with a view to setting the institution on the trajectory of growth and development.

“This Governing Council is poised to put in its best in repositioning and placing the University to become a centre of academic excellence .

“We would continue to ensure that the university functions in accordance with its goal and objectives

“The universities play a pivotal role in shaping the future, and we would be committed to guiding the institution to new heights of achievement.

” Coming from the academia , I and members of the Governing Council would leave no stone unturned in achieving this, we would work hand in hand with the University authorities to better the institution.

“With God on our side, we shall succeed together,” she stressed.

Daduut also appreciated the federal government for finding her worthy for the appointment and pledged to continue to do her best to improve education in the nation.
