A murder investigation is under way after a man was found with stab wounds, police say.

Emergency services were called to Platt Lane in Fallowfield, Manchester, at 08:50 BST on Monday.

The victim was found with "sharp force injuries" and had died at the scene, according to Greater Manchester Police.

The force appealed for anyone with any information about the man's death to come forward.
