In a statement released on Monday, July 1, 2024, Comrade Western Iyamu, spokesperson for the advocacy group, highlighted the objectives of the initiative. “The summit,” he explained, “is designed by Nigerians, particularly Edo State stakeholders in the diaspora, to provide an interactive forum where global Edo citizens can scrutinize and discuss the visions and strategies of prospective leaders.”
