A man has been left in hospital with serious injuries after his moped crashed into a lamppost along a road in Ramsey. The incident happened on Field Road at around 6pm on Sunday (June 23).

The man's injuries were not life threatening. A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police reported: "We were called at about 6pm on Sunday (June 23) with reports a moped had collided with a lamppost on Field Road, Ramsey.

"Emergency services attended and the rider was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries. No other vehicles were involved."
