Adeyinka Alaseyori, a Nigerian gospel singer, has explained why she keeps a low profile regarding her marriage on social media.

In a recent conversation with Leke, the son of Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Alaseyori revealed that she and her spouse made a conscious decision to keep their relationship quiet.

She explained that her husband likes a secluded family life, especially given her unexpected prominence.

She also acknowledged her affection for her husband, describing him as a “dream supporter”.

“I love my husband, I do not flaunt him. I do not flaunt him so much. I do not flaunt him all the time,” she said.

“So most of the time people ask me, are you married? I have people who will tell me, like you, even after I have had two children, I do not wear my wedding ring. But I am happily married with two children.

“He is my dream supporter. Fame for us came faster than we expected. So my husband would rather that we keep the family out of public attention.

“You can not talk anyhow. You have to be conscious of what you do. A lot of people are looking up to you.”

Adeyinka is married to Dave Akinyemi.

The couple celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary in December 2022.
