Ogun Workers Give Kudos to Governor Abiodun for Subsidized Rice

Public and Civil Servants in Ogun State have expressed their gratitude to the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration for consistently selling rice to them at a subsidised rate to cushion the effect of the biting economy.

The initiative had been well-received by Public and Civil Servants across the state, who appreciated the efforts of the Ogun State government towards supporting them during this challenging period.

Workers from various local governments, including Ifo, Ewekoro, and environs, who gathered at Methodist High School, Arigbajo, to purchase the subsidised rice, said the initiative was a timely and informed decision that had taken the challenges facing workers into account.

Describing the initiative as laudable, Principal of Methodist High School, Junior, Arigbajo, who was a beneficiary, Mrs. Adeotan Abioye, a beneficiary, noted that the move was proof of governor’s commitment to the well-being and wellness of the state workforce.

Other beneficiaries, included teachers from Local Government Primary Schools, Ayepe and Ejio, Mrs. Oluwakemi Bello and Mrs. Abiola Adesete, respectively, while workers who have not yet benefited were enjoined to take advantage of the exercise.

Additionally, Officer Bunmi Kelani of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) and Mr. Ajala Roheem Kehinde from Pakoto High School, Senior, Ayede, Ifo, expressed satisfaction with the quality of the rice and commended the distribution method.
