A 24- year-old lady identified as Blessing Okonkwo has confessed to selling her 3-year-old brother, Friday Okonkwo for N410k in Adamawa State.
 She blamed her actions on economic hardship in Nigeria.....

She sold her brother to a human trafficker identified as Efunanya Nabuife, who in turn took him to Enugu.
This was after she lied to her mother, Hauwa Lawann that she wanted to enroll her brother in a school in Mubi which was 40 kilometers away.
She later used the proceeds to buy a grinding machine and gave her boyfriend N200k for their traditional wedding expenses.
The mother,Hauwa Lawan found it hard to believe that her daughter could sell her sibling to a stranger.
She narrated how Blessing lied about enrolling her brother in school and how she didn't hear from him for a year.
The truth came out when Blessing's father inquired about the child's whereabouts during her marriage proposal.
Blessing lied that the kid was dead but after her father consulted an oracle and was told the kid was alive, Blessing then confessed that the child was alive and living with a woman in Enugu.
Blessinh and Efunaya Nabuife has been taken into police Custody and would be charged to court after Investigations.
