Hon. Charles Mutisya Nyamai CALLS for Peaceful UDA Grassroots Campaigns

Kitui, June 13, 2024 — Former Kitui Rural MP, Hon. Charles Mutisya Nyamai, has called for peaceful and orderly campaigns ahead of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party’s grassroots elections.

Speaking at a UDA sensitization forum in Kitui, Nyamai urged aspirants to conduct their campaigns with decorum and avoid inciting violence.In his address to party members, Nyamai emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and warned against the manipulation of jobless youths to create disturbances.

He reiterated that the UDA party firmly opposes any form of violence and stands for peaceful political processes.”Leaders should emulate President William Ruto, the UDA party leader, by fostering peaceful coexistence and respectful campaigning,” said Nyamai.

He encouraged all aspirants to focus on positive engagement and uphold the party’s values throughout the election period.The sensitization forum is part of a series of initiatives by the UDA to prepare its members for the upcoming grassroots elections, aiming to ensure a smooth and democratic process within the party.
