Osun Gov commends Royal Fathers, celebrates new Olufon of Ifon

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has commended royal fathers in the state for being proactive about their environment, just as he celebrated the new Olufon of Ifon, His Royal Majesty, Aremo Obatala, Oba Peter Ipadeola Ilufemiloye Akinyooye.

The State Governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, made the admonition during the installation event for the new Olufon of Ifon on Saturday.

Governor Adeleke celebrated Olufon of Ifon and described the royal father as a symbol of modernity and progress, urging him to deploy his experience to build peace and development in his domain.

In a congratulatory message to the royal father, Governor Adeleke described the first-class monarch as “an embodiment of culture and tradition.”

“Since your ascension to this exalted throne of your forefathers, you have continued to conduct yourself as the finest embodiment of Ifon Orolu’s rich culture and traditions.

“Your appointment and subsequent coronation are fully deserving. I have no doubt that your people will feel exceptionally blessed to have you as their royal father.”

He, who also lauded other royal fathers for their intervention over the Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa express road, described them as critical backbones of state governance

Governor Adeleke however, maintained that he has been benefitting from the productive advisory roles and the wealth of experiences of the royal fathers.

While urging closer vigilance of the royal fathers on the security situation in their domains, the Governor appreciated the recent resolutions of the Council of Obas on the Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa road.

The governor, who noted his interface with the Federal Ministry of Works on the road, said the National Assembly members have also joined to mount pressure for federal contract award for the road.
