The Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, is to award 4,888 graduands with Diplomas and Certificates at it's 14th Joint Convocation ceremony.

Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Usman Sani Tunga while briefing journalists on the line up activities for the convocation said the convocation ceremony was for graduands from 2017/2018 to 2022/2023  academic sessions. 

He explained that a pre-convocation lecture would be delivered by an erudite scholar of International repute and a highly experienced university administrator, Professor Musa Yauri, the Vice Chancellor of Al-Qalam University Katsina with the title "Challenges of Contemporary Nigerian Economy, the Role of Polytechnics in Human Capital Development". 

The Rector said the commissioning of new projects executed by the school would be done by the the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu. 

He stated that, Prizes will also be given to deserving graduands, adding that, 3 illustrious Nigerians who have contributed to the society and impacted on humanity would be awarded with prestigious Fellowship of the Polytechnic.
