In February he ruffled the music scene with a single “Make Una Dance” in collaboration with one of his music idols, Sir Shina Peters. Currently, he is trending on various streaming platforms with his latest single titled “Amapiano”.
Bims, who is signed to 3ple Threat Entertainment has carved a niche for himself with his unique sound, which blends traditional Afrobeat with contemporary influences. Speaking on Amapiano, he explains the process that birthed the song, admitting that it was an accident of fate.
“Interestingly, I can’t pinpoint the exact moment of inspiration for this track. I was just in my room, working on another song, and as I produced the beat to a good level, I decided to freestyle.
Initially, I wasn’t sure if people would connect with the idea, so I invited a few friends to listen. The extraordinary reaction made me realize that the song was something special,” he says.
“Amapiano” is an upbeat yet emotional song where I describe Amapiano as a happy place, a sanctuary where we can all find peace of mind. This track is incredibly special to me, and I believe it will resonate deeply with listeners. So, as usual, expect nothing less than beautiful music at its peak,” he says of the single,” he adds
