Law Student Lauds Taraba State Governor’s Bursary Awards

JALINGO – A 400 level Law student of the Federal University, Wukari (FUWUKARI), Bayonga James Lenyoa has commended the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas for paying bursary to 63 Law students of Taraba State.

The bursary payment notice was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Re-orientation, Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo.

The statement reads, “Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas has graciously approved the disbursement of bursaries worth 400,000 naira each to 63 Law students from Taraba State studying at the Nigerian Law School across the country”.

Jalingo explained that the decision was part of the Governor’s commitment to free education and ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder educational opportunities for youths in the state.

He added that Governor Kefas remains dedicated to supporting the academic aspirations of Taraba State students.

Lenyoa, a student in the Department of Public and International Law and also the Speaker of the Students Representative Assembly of the Federal University Wukari commended the Governor’s support for the Law students, saying the Kefas’ Free Education policy and the reduction in tuition fees of students in tertiary and post-graduate studies deserve accolades.

He added that the kind gesture goes to show and proved that Kefas is a visionary leader with education in focus.

Lenyoa said the Governor’s deliberate attention to the education sector and Relief for students are catalyst to the growth of the state where Tarabans irrespective of age can be encouraged to go add value to themselves by pursuing diverse career of their choices for the fulfilment of their life’s aspirations.

The student leader urged all students in the state to take this advantage given by the Governor to pursue their dreams and stand out as leaders of tomorrow, adding that their support for the administration of Gov Agbu Kefas in achieving his Moving Forward Agenda will not only alleviate their sufferings to cushion academic bills but to also spur them to becoming worthy citizens of the state.
